Garrett Lane Warren September 22, 1997 – March 5, 2023 Garrett was born in Abilene, Texas September 22, 1997. His father Glenn Warren of New Braunfels, Texas and mother, Tami (Gibson) Warren of Seguin, Texas. Garrett spent his first years growing up in Abilene, Texas close to family and then moved to San Antonio, Texas for 2 years. He completed his elementary years in Edinburg, Texas. The remainder of his life he lived in the New Braunfels area since the age of 13 and considers the area as “Home” where he has made many incredible friends and great adventures. Many of which have been local and some in the Moab dessert and Para Motors all over Arizona, Florida, Oregon And Texas. He loved traveling with his father a corporate pilot. He and his father always came with great tales of the cities they traveled and restaurants they had dined. From an early age Garrett loved anything that had wheels, a motor or could fly. It didn’t matter what it was he had to try it. Wakeboarding, motorcycles, paramotors, airplanes and helicopters. Garrett is both a fixed wing pilot and helicopter pilot and was ready to take his commercial check ride in order to start working professionally as a pilot. His love of for aviation was like no other. Garrett recently found a new love of smoking things on the BBQ pit and cooking in the kitchen with mom. Being quick to smile with a clever sense of humor helps us to remember Garrett as the sweet, kind, brave and strong individual. A blessing to many. Garrett is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, his Aunt Carolyn Pattillo. He is survived by his mother and father; Aunt Linda (Russell) Larsen of Clyde, Texas; Uncle Henry (Renee) Warren of Plano, Texas; Uncle Eddie (Glenda) Warren of Gardendale, Texas; Uncle Pat Pattillo of Abilene, Texas; Uncle Ronnie (Karen) Gibson of Wichita Falls, Texas; Uncle Steve (Karen) Gibson of Grandbury, Texas. He is survived also survived by numerous cousins, wonderful friends, and his best friend Diesel 🐾 Garrett made the decision to be an organ donor 10 years ago. While we grieve the loss of Garrett, his final act is saving the lives of many, and his spirit will live on in others. Family and close friends were at Garrett’s side for prayers and final goodbye’s as he made his Hero’s walk to the OR to “Take me home” by John Denver (a favorite song of Garrett’s – John Denver was a pilot after all). A special thank you to Glenn Roblin, Schuyler Dhooghe, Shane Larsen and Gary Seals. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to your favorite pet charity (Garrett loved animals) or Texas Organ Sharing Alliance; P. O. Box 29250, San Antonio, Texas 78229
