Gertrude D. Schul

Gertrude D. Schul, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away Tuesday evening, March 23, 2021 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 91. Gertrude was born on November 10, 1929 in New Braunfels to the late Bruno Franke and Anna Schreyer Franke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Anna Franke; first husband, Elmer Howell, second husband, Roy Schul; daughter, Inez Howell, and by her sister, Vera Blalock. Survivors include her children, Rodney Howell and wife, Patsy, Jack Schul and wife, Cathleen and Karen Allen and husband, Johney; grandchildren, Bradley, Kristi, Jeannie, Zachary and Matthew; five great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.
