Hortencia H. Rodriguez, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 83. Hortencia was born on August 12, 1931 in San Marcos to the late Vicente Hernandez and Maria Eguia Hernandez. She later worked as a beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Raymond Rodriguez; three sisters, Hermelinda Acosta, Camerina Garcia and Terry Pacheco, and by one granddaughter, Chelsea Rodriguez. Survivors include her loving husband, Jose Rodriguez; sons, Robert Rodriguez and wife, Julie, Ruben Rodriguez and wife, Beverly and Rick Rodriguez and wife, Nora; brothers, Fidel, Arturo, David and Gabriel Hernandez; grandchildren, Whitney Anderson, Chandler Rodriguez, Nick Tuech, Ashley Rodriguez and Erica Rodriguez. In addition, Horcentia is also survived by six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00am on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.

  3. Aunt Tencha. You will be dearly missed. There are so many good memories of going to your house with Mom and how you were there at her side on her last days of life. You will always be in our hearts and we all know you will in heaven with our loved ones that have passed. Now we have another Angel watching over us- tell Dad to sing you a song with his accordion.
