Irene T. Gaylord

irene gaylord
Irene T. Gaylord, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 23, 2021 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 57. Irene was born on October 19, 1963 in Killeen, Texas to Jesse and Anastacia Teneyuque. Irene lived in New Braunfels, Texas for all her life except for her first few years. She loved her job as a manager of Rudy’s BBQ until unfortunately she became ill and had to retire on disability. She loved going to the fair, Wurstfest and Rodeo; we went every year. She loved and devoted much of her life to raising her pride and joy, her only son, Joshua Michael Teneyuque. She loved her two grandsons very much too and loved caring for them. She loved her nieces and nephews and all her family and loved watching the kids. She became strong in the church and loved God very much in the last few years, so I’m sure she’s with Jesus now. She was greatly loved by her family, friends and anyone else who knew her. She was a wonderful, beautiful person and will be greatly missed. Irene is predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Teneyuque Gonzalez. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Arthur J. Gaylord, Jr.; children, Joshua Michael Teneyuque; grandchildren, Weston Michael Teneyuque and Kayden James Teneyuque; brother, Robert and wife, Sandra Teneyuque; sister, Yolanda and husband, Cruz Acosta. Irene is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Lux Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
