James F. Coggins of Seguin, TX was met with open arms as he went to meet his Lord and Savior on November 10, 2016. One day shy of his 54th Birthday. Jim was a devoted, loving husband, son, father, grandfather and business owner. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Frank and Jean (Moulin) Coggins. Jim and his brother and sisters were military brats until they settled in Austin, TX where he enjoyed dirt bike racing with his brother, Mickey. Later he enlisted in the Marines; he loved the Corps and his many Marine brothers, with many fond memories of his time there. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Jim is survived by his loving wife of eleven years, Pamela Coggins; a son, Dylan Coggins; stepson, William 'Neal' (Tiffany) Rogers; stepdaughter, Amber (Max) Sanchez and grandchild, Gavin; father, Frank (Peggy) Coggins; brother, Mickey (Ann) Coggins; sisters, Catherine (Jim) Pollock; Bridget Knowlton, nieces, nephews and many friends. Jim enjoyed his Roofing Business, fur babies, traveling, golf, political banter and spending time in Rockport, TX where he and Pam would go to get away and relax. Jim will be deeply missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the New Berlin Community Center, 8815 FM 775, New Berlin, TX from 6:00 8:00 pm Memorial Contributions can be made to: "American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program, Inc."
