James Fulton McKnight Fields (Jimmy), of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the age of 76. Jimmy was born to parents Ernest A. Fields and Henrietta Augusta McKnight Fields on April 9, 1940 in Yoakum, Texas. He attended Allen Military Academy in San Marcos, Texas, St. Joseph High School in Yoakum, Texas, St. Edward's University and Texas A&I. After a successful career, Jimmy retired from Texas Instruments. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, and would always be up for a good shuffleboard or darts game at anytime. In his later years his interests were replaced with the stock market and investments. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Seidel Fields of 48 years; his daughters, Candace and husband Alex Leighton of Friendswood, Texas; Jennifer and husband Clay Rose of Leander, Texas; his four grandchildren, Lauren Alexis and Allison Ann Leighton, Madeline Ann and Parker James Fields Rose. A graveside memorial will be held with family at a later date.The burial will take place in the Victoria Catholic Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.
