Jamie Lynne McLaggan

Jamie Lynne McLaggan, 60, peacefully passed away on the 5th of July, 2022, surrounded by her family and the ones she loved. She was born on the 28th of August, 1961 in Waycross, Georgia, and graduated from Elsik High School in Houston, Texas. Jamie went on to hold several distinguished positions in many fields, including finance, home building and education. She worked her way through the Fort Bend independent school district, becoming an educator, moving on to become the Assistant to the Director of Transportation, and finally to the Head of Child Nutrition. She retired from FBISD early in the year 2021. Jamie met her husband Ian Douglas McLaggan in Houston, and they were married on the 13th of March, 1982 in Bronxville, New York. They soon settled back down in Houston where their two boys, Ian Scott and Byron James were born. Jamie was a devoted wife, and a loving mother. When she wasn’t enjoying her time on family outings, she could usually be found in the kitchen where she would be cooking up a feast for those lucky enough to have been at her dinner table that night. Jamie was the light of many peoples world, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Jamie McLaggan is succeeded by her husband Ian, her two sons Scott and Byron, daughter in-law Heather and four grandchildren, Elliott, Madeline, Freyja and Iris. Isaiah 40.31 “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
