Jennifer Lynn Ortega July 7, 1972 – March 4, 2021 Our Jennifer was taken home on March 4, 2021, in the year consecrated to St. Joseph, our foster father and Patron Saint for a happy death. What an honor to be taken home in such a year as she enters eternal rest. After a three-year battle with cancer, she was released from the pain and is now resting in peace. She is already missed by family and friends she leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts. Jennifer was preceded in death by her step-father, Harold Hoffmann; maternal grandfather, Sixto Herrera and paternal grandparents, Ramon and Josephina Ortega. Survivors include her children, Genesis Ortega, Matthew Ochoa, Natalie Ochoa and Madison Ochoa; grandchildren, Senovio and Camille Sanchez; her mother, Lorina Hoffmann and father, Ben Ortega; brother, Jason Ortega and wife, Michiyo; sister, Jackie Guillermo and husband, John; nieces and nephews, Anthony and Diego Juarez, Alyssa Guillermo and Ryu and Nina Ortega; maternal grandmother, Catalina Herrera; Jennifer’s dear and loyal friend, Jose Luis Ramirez. In addition, Jennifer leaves behind many friends, uncles, aunts and her parish family at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. We wish to express our sincere thanks to all that have offered so much love, support and prayers during this time of pain and grief. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held for Jennifer at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Church of Good Shepherd in Schertz, TX with Rev. Fr. Octavio Muguerza, Celebrant.
