Jessie (Sharpy-Tuse) Hernandez

Jessie Hernandez (Sharpy/Tuse), passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2022 at his residence at the age of 87. Jessie was born on March 17, 1934 in Hays County. Survivors include his son, Armando Javier (Hilda) Hernandez of New Braunfels; daughters, Elvia Susong of New Braunfels, Alicia Smith (Michael) of Rockport-Fulton, Mary Esther Silva (Gilbert) of New Braunfels; stepdaughter, Judy Gonzales (Juan) of New Braunfels; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; Sister Josephine Hernandez, Andrew Hernandez, Hector Hernandez and George Hernandez. Jessie was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelina; parents, Andres and Elvira Hernandez; brother, Roy Hernandez. Jessie worked at Ritters Gas Station and when he retired he liked watching sports, especially football. Jessie was also known to place a bet every now and then. He was a hard and dedicated worker throughout his life, instilling those values in each member of his family. Jessie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Albert Toamgutu-Tomeka for those who would like to attend. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass on Monday morning.
