Joanne W. Farris, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away early Thursday morning, March 7, 2019 in New Braunfels at the age of 87. Joanne was born on August 22, 1931 in Kansas City, KS to Victor H. Underwood and Nona W. Bundy Underwood. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Underwood; and loving husband of 38 years, John A. Farris; She is survived by her children, Mark A. Farris (Judy), Elaine Reed (Terry), Jeanie Laurel (Oscar), and Andy Farris; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 6 step-grandchildren. The family would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Eden Hill “The Willows” Caregivers & the staff at Hope Hospice in New Braunfels, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
