Kenneth Richard Burton, 60, of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in New Braunfels. Born on May 6, 1955 in England, he was the son of Richard Burton and Irene Leach.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sandra Blevins Burton; sister, Lynn, and niece Mary, as well as his beloved cat, Theodore.
A memorial service will be held at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm.

Ken was a wonderful husband to Sandra, considerate, loving, comforting, with a warm heart and generous soul. We’ll miss him very much.
RIP Ken although I haven’t seen you for some years I still remembered you and thought of you, especially sitting around a camp fire giggling and drinking. My condolences to your family, and from Colonel Edward Montagu’s Regiment of Foote we will have a drink for you at the next battle!
It has been many years since I last got chance to chat with Ken whom I met as a member of the ECWS. He was from Castleford with a typical Yorkshire sense of humour. I can still picture him now having a beer and a laugh – something I shall do in his memory

Ken was a member of our family for many years, he was Godfather to Alasdair and the brother I would have liked to have had. Always funny and warm and never cruel or unkind, he was always willing to turn his hand to any task. I missed him so much when he went to USA but knew that in Sandra he had found the soul mate that he had been searching for. It seems so unfair that two such lovely people should be parted when they were so happy together. All I know is that the world is dimmer this week and the stars have become brighter. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra at this sad time.
Ken always had interesting stories to tell about his travels, and would already know something about places in the US we went together with Ken and Sandra. The two of them were such a good match, and so well suited to each other, we’ll miss seeing how happy they were together.
Ken was so good to my sister, Sandra. He gave her love and support, a happy home and life together. Ken was a kind and loving husband and I’ll always be thankful he was in her life.
We met Ken through our love for history,and re-enacting and spent many happy weekends roaming England ”Living History”. Always kind and generous, a true gentleman, and when he said he was leaving England we all were sad to lose our friend. But how fortunate for Ken, he found his Soul-mate, Sandra, he found a life full of happiness and love. So it is so sad that he has left this Earthly place, and taken up his seat amongst the Heavens. Our deepest and heart felt sympathies go to Sandra, may she find strength from the knowledge that Ken will and always be in our Hearts. We will raise a toast as we sit by the camp fire, to Ken, may you Rest In Peace, and we will meet sometime and renew our friendship in amongst the stars of Heaven. I’ve known Ken for short time and enjoyed hearing his stories. We meet at Walmart when I got hired in 2011 as a stocker. He was the first person that introduce himself to me and made me feel welcome to the Walmart family. You will be missed my friend. My prayers go to your family. We will meet again someday. R.I.P.

We met ken through medieval re-enactment many years ago and thought of him as a good friend unfortunately when our daughter was born we stopped going and lost contact . We remember him being extremely funny and kind . He was a really lovely man and we feel sad that we didn’t keep in touch . Our thoughts are with you at this really sad time .
