Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Our sincere condolences as the Meadours family of this world gets a bit smaller. Bruce will always remain in your heart and find little ways to remain in your life. We were gifted with the privilege of meeting Bruce and I thank you, Mickey, for that. We’ll say prayers for your comfort and peace. Hugs and love to the entire family.

  2. My best and closest friend of my lifetime. The memories endure, and you will be sorely missed. Rest in God’s hands my friend.

  3. Very sad news… Bruce was a brilliant software developer, whom I first met in 1966 when we both worked for Robert H Ray Geophysical (as did his father, Bruce Sr. – another great man). As a young man, he lived in many other countries including Libya and France. Once he grew up, I’m not sure he ever left Texas again, unlike his dad who went to Paris for several years to head up GeograFrance, a joint venture between Ray and a French competitor (CGG), and later on started up Ray crews in Ethiopia and other EAME (Europe, Africa, Middle East) countries. Bruce was honest (sometimes brutally so), very intelligent, and on the leading edge of computer technology his whole life. RIP Bruce…

  4. Bruce was a very special friend to me. He mentored me as a young software developer back in 1976 when I first met him, and became my best friend ever since. He and I enjoyed many happy times playing with cars, software, boats and friends. Bruce helped me on several occasions when I needed a good friend. He was generous to a fault, honest and kind. I miss him very much.

  5. A life fully lived resulting in lots love and stories! Bruce was a kind and funny man! At peace for all times now!

  6. Deeply saddened by Bruce’s passing. Bruce was a wonderful and generous friend to me, there are lots of memories from our times together in Houston where we met when I first arrived in the States in 1978. My condolences and prayers are with you, Nancy, and all Bruce’s family.

  7. Je l’ai connu à Alger (Algérie) en 1961, comme chef secteur. Très bon souvenir. Condoléances à sa famille. Jaques.

  8. Dear Nancy, I am so very sorry for your and your family’s loss. Bruce was a fine man and will be missed. Thinking of you during this sad time.

  9. Nancy, Very sorry to hear about Bruce. I visited with him a bit when he was working at SMT a few years ago, and have fond memories from CSD and Digicon. Very sorry for your loss.

  10. Bruce was always been someone I cherished knowing. Have known the family for many years and looked up to Bruce and his father like my own. A wonderful man and I am so sorry for your loss Nancy and Mickey! I can’t help but feel like his reunion with his parents and son is joyous!

  11. Bruce, You were a great neighbor. I always felt secure leaving the house while I was away knowing that you were there to look after it and my son. We will all miss you my friend. I can almost see you in the clouds riding your Cadillac. Sweet. Roland and family

  12. Thank you Bruce Meadours for 12 happy years of marriage, three wonderful children, and many good memories. You were a good husband, ex-husband, and father, maintaining a lifelong relationship with our children. I still appreciate your Christmas gift to me in 1972, my first pair of binoculars.

  13. Nancy so sorry for losing Bruce, he was my best friend at Laf High, then he left I think in 11th grade with family for Algeria. I was happy when we got together again when he returned to Laf to attend USL. Gail & I enjoyed your visits to Laf when he came to visit Monica. I really admired Bruce’s intellect & success in business and as a genuine & good person. Bruce will be in my prayers

  14. Nancy, this is such very sad news. I wish you strength in going forward. May your memories give you comfort.

  15. Sorry sorry to hear the sad news Nancy, our thoughts and love are with you and your family at this time. Bruce will always be remembered fondly. I still have the pictures of my boys on the lake in Houston on the small sailboat with Bruce at the helm!

  16. Dear Nancy, I was so sorry to hear about Bruce’s passing, the news brought back so many good Digicon and TIMAP memories. We certainly tested his patience and humor (Oh that laugh!). I wish I could be there to celebrate his memory in person, but be sure that I’ll be with all of you in spirit on Saturday. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Maria

  17. Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I think of you often and will keep you in my prayers.

  18. To Nancy and the Family, It is disconcerting to realize that Bruce is no longer of this world. We greatly value the friendship that we have had with you and Bruce. Also we hope that the difficulties of recent times are overshadowed by the memories of the good times, and the realization that Bruce is always right here with us, and no longer suffering. He was and is a great friend, always cheerful and thoughtful, always a bright spot.
