Laura Gayle Levasseur

laura levasseur
It is with great happiness for her, and deep sorrow for ourselves, that we announce the triumphant promotion and calling home of Laura Levasseur. Jesus called her home on March 30th, 2022 to say to her “well done, my good and faithful servant”, for having fought the good fight. The Apostle Paul’s charge to Timothy was the same call that Laura heard and answered: 2 Timothy 4: ¹ In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: ² Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. ³ For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. ⁴ They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. ⁵ But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. ⁶ For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. ⁷ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. Laura spent her life in this pursuit. She fought valiantly for her family and close friends, yes, but also was also a champion for all that called her friend and she has now been welcomed into the Glory of Heaven to receive the reward that her heart longed for and that she has earned. Laura had a fierce passion for Christ and was a true warrior for God. She was also a rare, humble and gentle spirit. The joys of Laura’s life were her family and friends. She treasured every day spent with the love of her life, her husband, RJ. Laura cherished her children, Hailey and Adam. She spoke with them almost every day. So much of her is visible in each of them. Laura also blessed her intimate friends with unflinching loyalty and devotion. No one who witnessed her infectious smile, with dimples fully engaged, will ever forget how she lit up every room. Laura’s incredible intelligence and analytical skills helped her start and build her own business into an entrepreneurship that succeeded beyond her biggest dreams. She built her brand on faith in God, honesty, integrity, diligent hard work and uncompromising quality. Some benefactors of her love and grace include her Husband RJ Levasseur, Son Adam Leteff, Daughter Hailey Leteff, her best friends Marianne Blackstock and Cori Young, Mother Judith Joyce, Stepfather Martyn Joyce and siblings Amy Baker, John Silveus, Koko Shishida, Becca Kiel, Melanie Wolfson, Becca Curran. Do not grieve – rejoice. She has run the race and she has reached the glorious finish line where her rewards in heaven are surely piled high! A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00pm at Hillside Fellowship, Spring Branch, Texas.
