LEONILA C. MARTINEZ
Leonila C. Martinez, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away Tuesday evening, August 25, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio at the age of 71. Leonila was born on January 17, 1949 in New Braunfels to the late Pedro M. Martinez and Juanita Campos Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Pedro C. Martinez. Survivors include her sister, Erlinda C. Hernandez. In addition, Leonila is survived by her nieces and nephews.

I remember Leonilla as a devoted catholic woman. She was a member of the Guadalupanos of OLPH in New Braunfels also a member of the Crusillstas. She enjoyed helping in the kitchen and at the church festival’s. She was also part of the group to go to Monterrey, Mexico for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We have such wonderful memories of her. She also was a dear friend to my mom. We thought of her often with fond memories. She will be dearly missed. May she Rip.🙏🏼🛐✝️
Miss Leonila was very devoted in helping in the parish of OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL CATHOLIC CHURCH in New Braunfels, Texas. She always had a smile. I knew her for many years. May she rest in peace. I know Our Lord God was very pleased with her. She goes to her reward in heaven. Sincerely, Alice Rodriguez
