Lorraine Crespo, 68, a resident of New Braunfels, left to join our heavenly Father on Monday, August 9, 2021, at her family home. Born on February 9, 1953, in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of Alice Crespo Berry and the late Angel Luis Crespo. Lorraine is survived by brothers Luis Crespo and his wife Tasa Weyerts, Rick Crespo and his wife Alicia, and Bob Crespo his wife Cindy, Jeffrey and his wife Carmen, her children, daughters, Lourdes Miranda, Desiree Vega, and her sons Pedro Martinez and his wife Carla Conception, and Steven Crespo Martinez along with his wife Monica Meraz, and her eight grandchildren. Lorraine was adored by her family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ at Freedom Fellowship Church. Lorraine was a woman with strong faith who loved to travel. Despite her large family, Lorraine always made time for everyone. Lorraine was an exceptional Mother, Grandmother, and Sister. She was always the first to offer prayers, and her smile brought joy and comfort to many. She always looked for the good in the world and saw only the best in people. Although she fought many medical issues, she remained strong and was quick to laugh and burst into song randomly. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Freedom Fellowship Church in New Braunfels with a service to follow at noon. All services will conclude at the church. In place of flowers, the family requests donations to help offset the funeral expenses. You may call Lux Funeral Home (830-624-0500) to make a donation by phone.

  3. During Gabriella’s bridal shower, Lorraine won more than once on “knowing the bride the most” game. She was so proud and happy for Gabby. We could tell how much she was cherishing every moment, especially when Gabby showed her wedding dress. It was a very special moment for both, and we all could see the bond between them.

  4. Lorraine had the strongest faith in our Lord than anybody I’ve ever known. She was a prayer Warrior. One of her favorite things she would say was: ” we will pray to Lord Jesus because He is the Doctor of Excellence!’

    • You were her dearest friend. Her ‘sister she never had’. I’m sure this is hard on you but I know your faith will get you through this.

  5. I’ll never forget her love for reading, more specifically her kindle fire. Every time I see one I think of her and it puts a smile on my face

  6. Lorraine; I knew you as a child ,will always cherish the moments we spent together at Coney Island beach with the family. I wish I would have known as an adult. I see that you were Loved, respected, and cherish by your family. My deepest condolence to the Crespo family. Your cousin; Norma Crespo

I will forever miss you saying “ hi my gabby girl “ and those BIG wonderful hugs. I feel so bad you weren’t able to make it to my wedding but you did get to witness our marriage in court. You also got to witness me in my wedding dress and for the day I feel so blessed. You are no longer in pain. You are no longer suffering. But I’m selfish I want you here! I want to listen to you praise God from across the room. I want to hear you read the daily devotional with Luly. Fly high mom. God gained a wonderful Angel. Till we meet again. I love you now and forever.
