Lucille Dale Lorine

lucille lorine
Lucille Dale Lorine passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021 under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born near New Braunfels, Texas on January 4, 1955. Lucy's tight-"knit" family includes her loving husband of 37 years Mark E. Lorine ; son Mark Jr; future daughter-in-law Amanda Sanchez; daughter Rose Marie Hanks; son- in- law Cory Hanks and her adored granddaughter Mackynlee Belle Hanks. Lucy spent years sewing and crocheting love into countless creations for her children, and continued that love with even more dresses, blankets and snuggly animals when she became "Mimi." Lucy loved collecting anything Snoopy, but she treasured receiving the newest Snoopy Christmas ornament of the year to add to her collection. Her husband displayed his love for her by composing many handwritten poems. Their paths first crossed while working at Ramada Inn in San Antonio, Texas and their endless love blossomed with a simple friendship poem. Lucy's smile could light up a room, and her hugs were "the best hugs in the world." She worked hard, loved even harder and was an example of strength to us all. Lucy will be dearly missed but always remembered.

  1. From your loving husband, my final poem to you
“It’s never goodbye, it’s ’til we meet again”
    September 4, 2021

    There’s a day in September I’d like to forget . . .
when our eternal flame turned into ember
after the cold wind blew, without regrets

When a part of life is lost forever, how do you truly recover?

When the one you love is no longer there, how do you get your heart to share?

When the word “endless” comes to an end, how do you ever love again?

    Then I stop, and from her, I remember . . .

That, oh, sweetest smile, those enchanted eyes. Those snuggle lips, that over loving heart, amen.
    There is no gate
where you and Heaven waits . . .
    It’s never goodbye,
    it’s ’til we meet again.

    There’s a day in December I will never forget . . .
A day, I will always remember.
That day, where, first, we met.

    There’s a day in October
The day our hearts joined as one . . .
    We’ve found our four-leaf clover.
Our life together have just begun.

    There’s a day in November
Our first treasure is born . . .
Here, our son is, so grand, so tender.
As we cradle him, already, he’s adorn.

    There’s a day in May
    At the end of a rainbow, a Rose appears . . .
Now our life is full on this day.
And our tight-knit love will grow, year by year.

    There’s a day in June
    Rose blesses us with a Belle . . .
Her ringing takes us “over the moon.”
She’s our storybook ending to all fairy tales.

    There’s a day in September I’d like to forget . . .

    Then I stop, and, from her, I surrender . . .

That, oh, sweetest smile, those enchanted eyes.
Those snuggle lips, that over loving heart, amen.
    There is no gate
where you and Heaven waits . . .
    It’s never goodbye
    it’s ’til we meet again.

  2. Heaven is where you are today On this day of your birth You lived this Earth for many of them This will be your heavenly first I know your in a better place Your pain and weakness are no more Your new glorified body in Heaven You are better than before We miss you here on Earth An emptiness fills your space Your hugs, your smile, and your laughter nothing can replace Little signs all around make you feel close We see them when our hearts ache for you They comfort when we need you most We pulled together closer when you left us for Heaven We help each other when in need Dad holds onto his seven Why we had to lose you so soon Sometimes it’s hard to understand But I know you would want us to live our lives each day to the fullest that we can So I put my words in a poem A pretty way to say Mom Happy Birthday
