Luisa V. Gonzales

Luisa "Licha" Gonzales, a long-time resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 83. Luisa was born on April 28, 1930 in Mexico to Juan Veloz and Margarita Rodriguez Veloz. Survivors include her loving husband, Eugene Gonzales; daughter, Adriana Gonzales-Bueche; son, Juan Veloz; grandchildren, Alexandria A. Leija, Sirena Guerrero, Brenna Veloz, Justin Guerrero, and Isabella Veloz; two great-grandsons, Alejandro Leija and Brandon Salinas, Jr.; niece, Gloria Grimaldo, whom Luisa loved as a daughter; and Edward De Hoyos, whom Luisa loved as a grandson. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.

My beloved grandmother, my comfort. I have so many good memories, all bring smiles to my face. She was so warm. I’m glad she was chosen to be mine. I loved everything about her, she was perfect. Jesus, your angel has returned. I know she will watch over me. We will one day be reunited. Gone but never forgotten. Te amo mucho mom.
