Mafalda J. Manuel, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 77. Mafalda was born on February 7, 1935 in Orange, New Jersey to Carmen and Katherine Donisi. She later married the love of her life, Robert Richard Manuel. Mafalda served our country proudly in the United States Air Force. Survivors include her husband, Robert Richard Manuel; step-children, Pamela Ann Seamans, Stephen Manuel, Mary Louise Wells and Dora Wells; sisters, Ida Slattery, Mary Porru and Lillian Travato. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the funeral service, which starts at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church, 103 Carolina St., San Antonio 78210. All services will end at the conclusion of the funeral service. Mrs. Manuel's cremains will be laid to rest with military honors at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
