Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Malford was a friend to me and a great friend of the Hill Country Shooters, Benchrest shooting club. He was always among the first to volunteer when anything needed to be done. He may not have been a great shooter, but he was a great competitor, and always willing to help anyone who needed it. He always had a positive attitude and never complained, even when stooped over from pain in his hips. He will be missed.

  2. I am also a friend of Malford thru his shooting 400yd and 1000yd competitions. I will always remember his smile and the fact that he was always a gentleman. I will miss him greatly. The family and all who were close to him have my condolences.

  3. Our prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to Penny, Mike, and Becky and the family for the sudden loss of Malford. We have many fond high school memories of Malford and many memories of Malford and Penny during their many years of marriage and kids and grandkids. We know Malford will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We also know that Malford and Rachel, his granddaughter, are running hand in hand in the fields of Heaven together! May he Rest in Peace! With love to all! Bill and Debbie Spivey

  4. Our prayers are with you at this time of loss for your family , Malford was one of the nicest people I ever met, we are going to miss his friendly upbeat attitude and friendship in our little shooting world, always happy and had a smile on his face. It was an honor to have known him..he was one of the good ones

  5. I worked for Malford ( as a contractor) for almost 30 years and there wasn’t a job I did (even though I was the low bidder) that I was charging too much. When I could explain the charges he was fine with it. He was always true to his word and when he said he would handle something, it got done immediately. He will be missed.

  6. Praying for peace for Malford’s family, sorry for the loss of a good man.. Lv class of “68

  7. May God bless you old friend, May God be with your family is this time of mourning this loss of a truly loving person that I had known for around 58 years.

  8. My deepest sympathies to the Jost family on the loss of your loved one. I worked with Malford at GVTC. He was truly a kind and hard working man and will be missed dearly.

  9. Malford Jost was my supervisor at GVTC from 1991-1998, he was the best BOSS I have ever had in my life. He was such a blessing, having 2 babies during that time he was so understanding when then were born, sick or school activities. Family came first. Period. He would tell me that when Becky and Michael had games on the same nights Pennie would go to one and he would go to the other so the kids would always have a parent attending. He loved them more than life. Boss you will be deeply missed by everyone, you always gave so much. Tell Kellee hi and we love you both so much with such priceless memories.

  10. Please accept my sincere condolences on the recent passing of Malford Jost, husband, father, grandfather and friend. My husband and I only had a few occasions to meet Malford, Penny and family. I recall Malford’s big smile and Penny’s laugh. What a sweet, friendly and hospitable family. Although I didn’t know him well, I know his daughter, Becky to be a compassionate, principled, hardworking young lady. It is obvious he was a great influence on her life and she is fortunate to have such a great role model. There really are no words or acts that can replace his loss.

  11. I worked with Malford for 25 years at GVTC. I remember his superior work ethics, always wanting to do the best job possible. I will always remember his smile and laugh. He was a blessing to know and to be around. Penny, Michael and Becky, you have my most sincere condolences. My prayer for you is that God’s arms will surround you and bring you comfort and peace in this difficult time.

Yes, Malford was always a gentleman with a warm smile and heart to match. His character of integrity, honor, work ethics, his helpfulness to rise to any occasion and endless love for his family will always be remembered.
