Maria Elena Pacheco, 65, of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Seguin. Born on August 22, 1951 in Comal County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Juana Aleman.
Maria is survived by her husband, Russell Shatley; children, Jo Ann Wilson-Martinez; Cynthia Chavez; Ana Herrera and her husband Domingo; and Victor M. Pacheco, Jr. and his wife D'Laine; grandchildren, Krista and Marcus Wilson, Rogelio Quintanilla, Jr., Destiny Quintanilla, Madison Hansmann, Gabriel Chavez, Cassandra and Mikaela Herrera, and Brooklyn and Aven Pacheco. Also surviving are brothers Jimmy Munoz, Abel Munoz, and Samuel Munoz; sisters Irene Ortega, Amelia Esquivel, and Rachel Estrada; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Maria was preceded in death by her brothers Saul Munoz and Carlos Munoz.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Iglesia Bethel Church, 385 N. Grape St., New Braunfels, TX 78130.
