Marilyn Anne Jamison

marilyn jamison
Marilyn Anne Jamison, 90, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on May 22, 2022. Born February 4, 1932 in Aurora, Illinois to Leonard Peter and Genevieve Lenertz, Marilyn graduated from high school in 1949 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota. Her nursing career spanned 35 years, including social work, clinical instructor and office nursing. Marilyn married Dan "Doc" Jamison in 1971, worked in his private medical practice office, and cared for him until his passing; then moved to Necedah, Wisconsin to care for her aging parents; and ultimately settled in New Braunfels to be near family. A supportive patron of the public library and food bank in both Necedah, Wisconsin and New Braunfels, Texas, Marilyn loved life, countryside sightseeing, and had a keen interest in reading and cooking. Frank and oriented in common sense, she readily shared her advice and opinions. Marilyn enjoyed social and family gatherings, and she especially loved her Sunday brunches with her brother Chuck and niece Judy; enjoying a "happy drink" and fun charcuterie board. Lovingly referred to as "Merlin" by grand nephews and nieces, she will be deeply missed. Marilyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan, in 1990 and her brother, Chuck, in 2021; and is survived by her brother's children Pamela Cruse, Mary Darden (John), Stephen Lenertz (Robin), Genevieve Weaber, and Judith Lenertz, her granddaughter Germaine Miller and numerous grand and great nieces and nephews.
