McKayla Ann Palacios, 7, of Marion, passed away at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Born on February 6, 2012 in Seguin, she was the daughter of Martin Palacios and Mischelle Cortez. In addition to her parents, McKayla is survived by her sister Ellashay Marie Palacios, Grandparents: Alfred and Lora Cortez Jr. & Gloria Palacios, Great Grandparents: Alfred & Rosie Cortez Sr. , Sharon Humphries & Marshall and Norma Mendez, Aunts: Shelly Cortez (cousins: Will & David Reyna, Kaylee & Daniel Moore III), Maria Cortez (cousin: Adin Cortez) & Suzanna Palacios, Laura Molina & Lucia Hernandez , Uncles: Alfredo & Jorge Palacios (wife/ Aunt: Julia Santos), God Father & Great Uncle: Paul Cortez, God Mother: Val Aleman God Sister: Amaris Cortez, God brothers: Caleb & Ian Cortez and several Great Aunts, Uncles cousins and many selfless loving nurses and staff that helped care and love her: Nurses: Angie, Norma, Maria, Adri, Audrey, Iva, Laura, Lora Scheduler: Mel & Stephanie
