Michael Anthony West

Michael "Anthony" West, a former resident of Round Rock, passed away both tragically and unexpectedly due to events that could have been avoided had they been known. He passed on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in New Braunfels at the age of 33, while with his momma. Michael was born on January 9, 1987 in Lufkin, TX to William M. West and Vanessa L.James. Anthony was very intellectual, intelligent, and enjoyed good thought provoking conversations and debates. He loved life, his family, friends, and also had a passion for people in general, humanity. He loved people never hesitating to help some one in need when he had the opportunity. Basically never met a stranger, a gentleman, the kind of man to give you the shirt off his back. He touched the lives of many and will also be greatly missed and remembered by many. Michael Anthony served his country proudly in the United States Navy as a submariner sonar technician. He later worked in technology, most often in the role of remote IT administration and management. Survivors include his mother, Vanessa L. James-West; siblings, Alexandra “Lexi” West and Ashton P. West; grandmothers, Darla Baker and Joyce West; grandfather, Curtis James; uncle, Alexander James and by his father, William West. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel, New Braunfels TX. Interment will follow at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, TX at 3:30 PM with time and opportunity for those who'd like to say a few words in remembrance. PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, the Celebration of Life for Michael has been postponed. Time, date and location will be announced as soon as possible.
