Loving Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandfather, and Uncle Micheal Lynn Watson, passed away on June 11, 2022 from Small Cell Lung Cancer after a courageous 7 month battle. He was 66 and living in his favorite place, New Braunfels, TX. Micheal Watson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1955 to Willie Lee Watson, a homemaker. He joined the Air Force during the Vietnam war after graduating from Central High School in Tulsa. After that he moved to Houston where he met his beloved wife of 37 years, Terri Watson and begin his career in the oil and gas industry, first as a roughneck, then as wellhead fire fighter where he served with Red Adair on several locations, to engineering valves and running many research departments which allowed him to travel all over the world. He was an avid fisher, hiker, and lover of all things nature. He is survived by his Daughters, Shyla Liebscher and her two children, Jacob and Aidan Liebscher, and Tracie Watson and her two children Kayleb and Cynthia Pepper. His siblings, Sister Louella Rhodes and her two adult children Susie Davis and Daniel Spencer, and his twin brother Mark Watson. He is preceded in death by his mother Willie Lee Watson, his brother Ralph Morton, his wife Terri Watson. There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor at Jay Deez’s Sports Grill located at 2001 State Hwy 71 Unit E, La Grange, TX 78945 on Saturday June 25, 2022 beginning at 4 pm. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and share your memories with his family and friends. Donations are being accepted to cover the costs of medical expenses and funeral services.
