Henrietta Brantley "Bambi" Bell Henry died peacefully in New Braunfels, TX on March 13, 2017. Bambi was born in Columbia, SC, April 22, 1944, to Henrietta Brantley and John Bell. She attended Columbia city schools, graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Education and taught kindergarten for many years. Family was always the most important thing to Bambi; she prided herself on being a wife, a mother, and a teacher. The epitome of both grace and strength, Bambi touched so many. Those who knew her and her joyful personality will never forget her. She will be missed. Survivors include her daughters Elizabeth Brantley Henry of San Antonio, TX; Mary Henry Webster (Jonathan) of Lexington, VA; and son George Kenneth Grant Henry, Jr. (Jamie) of Garden Ridge, TX; grandchildren Caroline Frances and Adam Henry Webster; brother John Bell, Jr. (Virginia) of Hendersonville, NC; and former husband The Rev. George Kenneth Grant Henry of Brevard, NC. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in New Braunfels, TX on March 18th at 2:00 pm and an interment of ashes ceremony will be held at St. Francis Chapel, Kanuga Episcopal Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC on April 8th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harbor Hospice of New Braunfels.
