Guestbook

  1. Nancy was my best friend for over 40 years. I couldn’t have been more blessed. We never had harsh words. We loved the same things. We loved each other, probably more than sisters. We were two peas in a pod. We went fishing everywhere we could. We would make frequent trips to Las Vegas and even took Omie and Opie, Nancy’s parents as they had never flown and really wanted to go to Las Vegas. We had a wonderful trip with hilarious stories to tell. She was a very caring and giving person. I told her I was going to send her name in for Fair Queen because every time we went to the Comal County Fair, I don’t think there was a person she didn’t know. Everyone wanted to talk to her and say hello. She was the Fair Queen to me. We loved to go camping, staying in tents, cooking a ton of food and having an absolute blast. I could go on and on about all of Nancy’s wonderful traits. I am so blessed to have Nancy as my best friend. We could talk about anything and everything and we would laugh our butts off. I honestly don’t know what I am going to do without her. It’s a huge loss for me and Nancy’s daughter Jackie and Jackie’s children. We all loved Nancy so very much, it’s truly difficult to put into words. Nancy June, I love and miss you so much. I know you’re happy seeing your parents and omi and all of your many friends and pets, Oscar and Miah Mo (her daschunds) and even my little girl Daisy, who passed away the day before Nancy. Daisy loved Nancy to pieces. As do I and so, so many more family and friends. I love and miss you so very much! God bless you my sweet best friend. Libby

  2. Nancy was our pep squad sponsor at Carl Schurz Elementary. What a doll. Even though I haven’t seen her in years, she left an indelible mark on my life. Love and condolences to Allan & Cary and the entire family.

  3. Jackie, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Mother. We were next door neighbors for 30 years and never had a cross word between us. Your mom loved you without bounds and was crazy about her grandkids. Nancy also had a deep love for her animals and an amazing green thumb. She and Dennis were always quick to share the bounty from their garden, and we happily accepted. We were so lucky to have known her. Elaine Baranowski

  4. Nancy ad I grew up at St. Paul Lutheran Church during our early years. As the years passed, we remained friends, and her smiles and hugs were always o appreciated. Her bright cheerfulness, supported by her Christina values forever made her a cherished human being. Thank you dear friend for all your gifts to those who knew you best. I send my prayers to the entire family.

  5. Nancy and I were classmates and friends. We laughed often together. Blessings to her family and friends who will miss her big smile !!

  6. Nancy was the light in a dark room. Her smile and positive attitude was contagious. To know she was your friend was her unselfish gift to you. We carpooled for 13 years together and shared a few beers and a lot of laughs on payday driving home. The four of us, Nancy, Joyce Lux, Leona O’leary and myself were the original 80’s Lady’s. What a time we had! We kept in touch after retiring but as time passed, thank God for the memories as they took hold, never to be forgotten. My sympathy goes to her family. She was a wonderful Lady and true friend. I will so miss her.

  7. I knew Nancy from USAA. She was the kindest, sweetest, and smartest person to know. Heaven has gained another occupant. Bless you Nancy. My condolences to the family. Martha Fluitt

  8. Nancy & I worked together at USAA and carpooled when we were taking college classes in the evenings. Nancy was always a fun, loving friend. She always made me laugh. She will be missed by all that knew her. My thoughts & prayers are with her family for peace & comfort at this difficult time.

  9. I only got to know Nancy the last 2 years when she was “assigned” for me to call and provide care for her from our church family. Instead, Nancy was a source of love and appreciation and FULL of smiles each time I’d come to see her. She never stopped finding the good in life and I know she is missed by Jackie and her grands. I’ll miss heading up to her house, greeted by animals and people, all eager to share love and joy. May God’s peace permeate your hearts as you grieve. Jane Moeller

  10. Nancy June King was my very best friend in the entire world. We did so many fun things together, but if things weren’t so good or fun, we did that together as well, through thick and then. She was the true meaning of having a best friend. It’s extremely hard to caputure all the words that describe this incredible, loving, caring, compassionate, honest, truthful, giving, respectful, beautiful, and so, so much more regarding Nancy. Any who was friends with her would know and agree to every word just stated and again, so much more. I have been so blessed by God to have had her as, not only my very best friend in life, but just to know her in general. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for everyone. I honestly don’t know what I will do without her in my life. and Yes, I have a million memories I can turn to and know that she is absolutely running around, happy and seeieng many family and friends she knows, but I am just being a bit selfish God, because you now have the most equisite, beautiful, compassionate care angel you could have, not to mention her devotion to you God and christianity. I love you Nancy so very, very much. We would say that to each other almost every day of the week, but I won’t stop now, I will continue for the rest of my life until we meet again. Please God, take great care of Nancy, like I know you will. She loved you to so much God. We both love you God. Thank you and Nancy, Jackie and I will be here for one another. AMEN. Libby
