Paul Gregory Hensley

Paul Gregory Hensley, 68, of Fischer, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 in New Braunfels. Born on October 17, 1950 in Houston, Texas, he was the son of the late Paul Hensley and Helen Ferguson Hensley. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonia Huff; and brother, Mark Hensley.
Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in Viet Nam from 1967-1970 and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He then went on to work for many years in the computer industry, specializing in computer drafting and piping design. Paul was very creative and enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking. He loved to share his talents with family and friends.
Paul married his wife, Karen Hensley in Pearland, Texas on March 30, 1991. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Camron Hensley, Tate Darge, and Brandon Allen; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gibbs, Jane Hammons, Emma Huff, and Tyler Darge; great-grandchildren, Michael and Benjamin Hammons, and Emily Redman; and brothers, Michael and Randy Hensley. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at North Shore United Methodist Church, 23880 N. Cranes Mill Rd., Canyon Lake, TX 78133. Immediately following the memorial service on Saturday afternoon, a reception will be held at 500 Wolf, Fischer, TX 78623.

Karen. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Paul very well, but I do know he was a great cook, and we had some amazing meals and good times together. We are always here for you. Much love, Avril.
Love you girl, sorry of course about the passing of Paul. You guys were just starting to make a future together in a beautiful place and he left you and all of us with much more to give. Great person ib his own Paul way and like I said if Paul was your friend, you had a true and sincere friend. Again sorry for the loss of your best friend and husband. Paul was a standup guy. When he came into your life he shared the cares, concerns and responsibilities as his own. How he loved you all! Karen, you were the light and love of his life. We were grateful he became part of this family. Don’t know how to express our sadness. He was a good man. You’ll carry his memories and love with you always. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His love for his family was strong and deep. My sincere condolences to you Karen, and the entire family. Paul will be truly missed.
Paul was a great friend and the true soul mate for Karen. It’s such a wonderful thing to see soul mates that find each other and grow as one as you both did. We had a lot of fun tubing down the river, celebrating birthdays and other wonderful lifetime events. There were so many times he made us fall over laughing with his crazy stories and jokes. Paul was a great cook! We all loved to eat whatever he was creating! He made beautiful woodwork for all the places they lived at. I am so glad that he had such a great life with all his beautiful family, friends, and especially you Karen. Paul was a one of a kind beautiful man and will be missed. Karen I’m very sorry for your loss.
My heart breaks for you Karen. Sending love and peace vibes your way. Paul was an exceptional human being. I looked up to Paul as a pillar of strength and fidelity. I didn’t know he served as a United States Marine but it’s not surprising now that I think about it. Semper Fidelis Paul! You will be missed.
Karen. Paul was a great guy and will be truly missed. We always enjoyed his visits when he would come home with you and our last visit 2 years ago with you guys. He had a great personality and we will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. All our love Diane and Wes.
Last summer my daughter, my daughter’s friend and I went to visit Karen and Paul. Paul was so attentive and hospitable. He cooked a delicious breakfast both mornings. He was an awesome cook and didn’t eat his breakfast until everyone else had eaten there’s. He wanted to make sure everyone had enough. Paul Hensley you made that trip a memory of a lifetime.
