Pearlie Newman

Pearlie Newman, age 86, a resident of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born May 4, 1934 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, W.I. to Caleb and Girtel Thompson. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, and her brother, Horace Thompson. Still on the journey are daughter – Ericka Cousley; son – Verland Green; Grandson – Kirkol Green; Granddaughter – Kelli-Anne Barrow Yanez; Great grandson – Logan Yanez; brothers – Llowelyn Thompson, Bernardo Thompson and Mervan Thompson. She spent her life caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as an Usher in her church in Long Island, New York. In retirement, she continued her caring ways by working part time with Hope Hospice in Florida and enjoyed cruising with her friends. In her last days, the light of her life was her great grandson, Logan.
