Phyllis Ann Tadlock, 75, of New Braunfels passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. She was born on June 26, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the daughter of the late Cecil M. Smalling and Lela Drury Smalling. She has three sisters Martha Harvey, Rebecca Ray, and Julie Ranger. Phyllis was the “cool mom” at school functions and hosted awesome slumber parties. She loved kids and took care of many in her daycare. She also loved sports, was a big OU Sooners football fan, and co-founded and coached girls softball in Bastrop where she was known as Mrs. T. But Bingo was her game of choice, which she was very good at while playing many cards. She loved to travel and visit family as much as possible and always made it a fun adventure. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rick Tadlock; children, Kathy, Denice and husband Gary, and Dena; grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan, Keith, Marissa, Callie, Chelsea, Candance, Jordan, Jonathan, and Carrington; four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00-4:00 PM with a service beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Palava Cemetery in Fisher County, TX at 11:00 AM.
