Rafaela "Rachel" Mancha, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the age of 69. Rachel was born on January 14, 1944 in Big Foot, TX to Faustino Camacho and Romona Martinez Camacho. During her professional career, Rachel worked serving others as a certified nursing assistant. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Juan Mancha on May 4, 1998; her parents; brother, Roman Camacho and by a sister, Dominga Burge. Survivors include her children, Rudy Mancha, Beatrice Rodriguez, Janie Mancha, Richard Mancha, Randy Mancha, Teresa Mancha and Melinda Mancha; brothers, Manuel Camacho, Faustino Camacho and Chon Camacho; sisters, Lupe Zavala, Rosa Gonzales, Elvira Nino and Patsy Gonzales. In addition, she is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the New Braunfels Church of Christ. Interment will immediately follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.

To the Mancha Family, So saddened to hear the loss of your mother, I want you to know that she was a very loving person, my Aunt Rafaela even made time to spend a couple of days at my home with me while I was grieving through the loss of our our own mother. We shared and made many memories together. I will miss my stops in New Braunfels just to get a short visit and eat BBQ ribs with her.
