Becky was an amazing friend growing up we had so much fun at our neighborhood pool, that is we spent most of our time the rest was at school and on the school bus. In high school Becky and I played the flute together we always had a blast at the football games messing around and cheering for our team.

  10. I was shocked to her of your Daughters passing! My heart felt condolences to you and your family. –

  11. Dear Beverly & John, My heart goes out to you both at this time. Thanks to Facebook Rebecca and I got to know each other. Three years ago what started out as an occasional post became a weekly message and an occasional phone call. What I’d like to call a modern day pen pal. She made me laugh and helped me find humor in my situation. She was a rare light that had the ability to help a person love and laugh at themselves. There were times that I don’t think I’d have pulled through the depression had it not been for her. I will remember her always and smile when I do, and her laughter (smile) will remain in my heart forever. Thank you God for the opportunity to have such a bright spirit in my life. They say that you have a plan – I guess for now I’ll have to trust that. Rebecca give Grandma (Aunt Joan), Nana and Pop a huge bear hug for me. I love you Rebecca and will remember you always – RIP and May your smile light up the heavens. – Victoria

  18. My deepest heart felt condolences to your family. Though words cannot easy your pain just know you are not alone. I along with many others are praying for your family. My mom and I have recently suffered a great loss and know exactly what you are going through. Just know God is with you and accept the peace of the Holy Spirit into your heart. May God bless your family during this difficult time.

  19. I was Becky’s kindergarten teacher and I’ll always remember her as that precious little 5 yr. old. She was a very sweet and loving child, so eager to learn and excited to be in kindergarten. I was fortunate to be able to see her a few months ago and she proudly told me that she was graduating from high school. My heart aches for her mom, Bev, and all her family and friends that she’s left behind. I know that God had a reason for taking her so soon, a reason that only He knows. Let us be comforted in knowing that we will see Becky again. I pray that God will bring comfort and peace to all her family and friends. With heartfelt sympathy, Barbara White

  20. I am so sorry to hear about Rebecca’s passing. I will never forget her wonderful smile and her enjoyable visits to the College & Career Center. We spent much time together discussing college options and I was so excited for her to go to TAMCC. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

  21. To the Garcia Family, I am sorry for your loss. As a Band Mom I got to know Becky as many of the Band Parents did. She loved band was always smiling and laughing. Becky had a zest for life….enjoying her flute, choir, and her educational experience. Always eager to help with fundraisers and assisting when something needed to be done. She truly enjoyed Canyon Lake High! Will always remember her beautiful smile and spirit. If i can ever help in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Band Rocks!

  22. It breaks my heart that our CLHS Choir and extended CL community has to say goodbye to one of our loveliest daughters. Becky was a friend to both Mairi and Tressa, 2 of my own children. We have reflected, viewed yearbooks and portraits. We hold in our hearts the warm and cherished memories of a gracious young woman whom we will always love. God bless the Garcia family. We will keep you in our prayers. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

  23. No words can we say that will ease your pain. No gesture of kindness can we make that will ligten your sorrow. We offer our freindship, our shoulders, our ears and most of all our hearts. With deep sympathy, Rebel, Bill, Vicki & Amanda.

  24. Beverly, John, You completely know what is in my heart for you, dear friends. There are many words written but there are none available to fully express the effect this powerful loss has had on so many, namely you two. So…anything I write here will be inadequate at best. Know this though: while your pain is immeasurable, there is true and abundant love coming to you, prayers for your comfort and peace, and many shoulders to lean on for any need you may have. Becky was my favorite girl in the whole world. She took care of Gentry and in turn that took care of me. She was good at that and boy did I appreciate her for that talent! I secretly wanted Gentry and her to be together forever, from the day of the prom forward it was my wish. She felt like mine, like she belonged to me….what a privilege and honor to have known her as well as we did. Whatever you may need, Bev and John, no matter how silly it may seem, call. Stop by. Reach out if you feel the slightest desire to do so. We send our deep love and concern and empathy. Gentry is silent and keeping all to himself in regard to Becky but he is determined to win the world championship for Becky this summer in Drum Corps. She was his greatest cheerleader! Love to all your family……….. Brenda, Kent, and Gentry

  25. Today and everyday you are in our hearts and prayers. Time may ease the pain but it never truly heals. Know that our love is with you.
