  7. The first time I met our neighbor Carl, he and I walked across the street to meet one another, we heartily shook hands with each other. He told me his name and I said glad to know you! Little did I know at the time how much we would enjoy their friendship. Whenever I had a problem around the house or a question, Carl was always available to answer a question or two and handy with his knowledge of all things such as car flat tire issues, plumbing issues, home repairs or anything where I might need someone to look over my shoulder to confirm what I thought might be the right way to fix something or guide me to who could help. Carl was readily available even if he wasn’t home. He’d text me and let me know when he would return. Carl often related the history of the Cecil family name, going back a few centuries ago to the days of English kings. I remember fondly each day when the weather was fine I could expect Carl and Patsy to get in their “buggy” and drive around the neighborhood, catching up with other neighbors and seeing what kinds of changes were going on in our little community. I’m sure they caught many a beautiful Texas sunset together. Mary and I miss Carl, our friend and very good neighbor.

  8. The Bird Family would like to pass on our sincere condolences to all. Carl was a gentleman and a friend, who will no doubt be a special angel above.

  9. I Love You Carl ♥ These were the last words that I said to you. You called me Jan 12th for my birthday. Just 1 day before your stroke. I know you’re in heaven now where you will have infinite happiness. I will miss & love you forever. Again, I love you Carl♥️. Your oldest sister, Barbara.
