Roger Archer

Roger Alan Archer passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 67. Roger was born on July 30, 1955, in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert Ray and Pauline Hains Archer. Roger moved to Texas when he was 15. Prior to his move to Texas he lived in Iowa, Washington, Germany and Nebraska. Roger graduated from MacArthur High School, San Antonio, in 1973. After graduation his career path took him being a Ferrier from 1977 to 1980. From 1980 to 1990 he worked at Thad Ziegler as a glazier. From 1990 to 2018 he worked at Samuals Glass Company until retirement. He had a total of 38 years working in the residential and commercial glass industry. Roger is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bob Archer, Jr.. Roger is survived by his children, Justin and Clayton Archer, and Karen Hoffman, grandchildren, Jaren and Kason Connell; and siblings, Sue Hooker, Paul and Randy Archer. Roger is survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
