Ronald Lee Brownlow

ronald brownlow
Ronald Lee Brownlow was born on August 7, 1941 to Dorothy and C.O. Brownlow in Roaring Springs, Texas. Five siblings followed Ronnie's birth; Jerry Brownlow of Bonham. Texas, Charles Brownlow of Lubbock, who passed away at the age of 58, Michael Brownlow of New Braunfels, Rhonda Wright of Austin, and Vicki Redding of New Braunfels. Ronnie served in the Army and upon returning to Lubbock, he was the manager of Luskey's Western Wear Stores in Lubbock, Abilene, and Amarillo. After leaving Amarillo, Ronnie lived in Denver for 10 years before moving back to Lubbock. In 2004, he moved to Austin, and in 2007, he moved to Eden Heights in New Braunfels, where he resided until his death. In 1966 Ronnie married Jean Powell. Ronnie was most proud of his children Jennifer and Reb and their accomplishments. Reb and Melissa have a beautiful daughter Hailee. Jennifer and Chris have two rambunctious boys, Mitchell and Andy. They all enjoyed time together with Grandpa Ronnie. Ronnie's faith was an integral part of his life. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Lubbock, and continued to participate in services using the internet. At Eden Heights, Ronnie taught Bible study classes as long as his health allowed. He was well respected and loved by all those near him. His dry sense of humor and quick wit encouraged many. Ronnie passed after a long battle with COPD. He maintained his independence until the very end. Ronnie is also leaving behind a beloved brother-in law, Larry Redding, sister-in-law, Paula Brownlow, Aunt Pansy of Wyoming, lifelong friends, Richard and Gail Turner and many nieces and nephews. In remembrance of Ronnie, please send donations to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels or Southside Church of Christ Building Fund in Lubbock.
