Sharon E. Day

sharon day
Sharon Eileen Brasuell Day, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the age of 54. Sharon was born on August 23, 1963 in Beeville, Texas to William and Elizabeth Brasuell. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Brasuell and brother-in-law Stacy Ray Serna. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Mike Day; father, William Brasuell and wife Mary; sisters, Cindy and Kathy; step-sisters, Connie, Shelly, April and Shauna and their husbands and kids. Sharon was the proud Aunt of Ethan, Amber, Sierra, Erica and Tristan and took great enjoyment from watching Lilly, Mason and Lyla grow up. In the words of her husband, Sharon had a smile that would brighten even the darkest mood. Her laugh was recognizable in a room filled with laughter of others. If she didn’t have a kind word to say she wouldn’t say anything. (She got that from her Mama!) And nothing meant more to her than her family. She knew exactly the kind of love each family member needed and she gave each person that love individually and uniquely to them. Sharon was more of a wife than any husband could have hoped for. She was kind and caring with a charitable and compassionate heart. Always ready to help anyone in need. We will miss her sense of humor, her loving kindness and her godly spirit. And we know without a doubt that her smile is even now brightening the heavens! Visitation is from 6 PM-8PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10AM at the funeral home. All Services will conclude at the funeral home after the service.

  4. My condolences to the Day families. I’m sorry to hear about the untimely loss of dear Sharon. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: “Your dead ones will live…They will come out”. And the Bible also says “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it”. Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ’s ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you.
