Shirley Thomas

Shirley F. Thomas, “Maw”, earned her angel wings on Monday, October 11, 2021 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 85. Shirley was born on August 4, 1936 in Liberty Hill, Texas to Earl and Mary Thomas. She had such a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Most of her friends knew her as “Maw. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her Grannie or Nanie. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; son, Marshall Simons; and one great granddaughter; Two son - in-laws, One daughter-in-law; four brothers and three sisters;. She is survived by her children, Benny R. Simons (Glenda), Carol McKee,(Jerry)and Edna Simons; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren. Shirley is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Heart of Texas Hospice.
