Sylvia Quintanilla Rodriguez, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 54. Sylvia was born on April 20, 1958 in San Antonio to Manuel Quintanilla and Guadalupe Flores Quintanilla. During Sylvia's professional career, she worked in the nursing home industry as a certified nursing assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Quintanilla. Survivors include her sisters, Minerva Ramos, Guadalupe Obregon, Linda Garcia and Gloria Romo; brothers, Johnny, Mike and Ruben Quintanilla; 13 nieces; 12 nephews and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
