Sylvia Rodriguez

Sylvia Rodriguez, age 69, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Sylvia was born on April 12, 1942 in Comal County to Juan Saenz and Altagracia Rios Saenz. She later married Albert Rodriguez, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2008. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Teresa Saenz and by a brother, Jesse Saenz. Survivors include her children, Gilbert and Jose Rodriguez, Tracy and Paul Jesse "PJ" Ybarra; grandchildren, Leeangel Ybarra and Paris A. Mireles, as well as by two sisters, Belia Garza and Olivia Castilleja. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel and on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, all of which will take place at the funeral home. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass, which will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Please Note: There will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Monday morning. Those who would like to attend both the visitation and Funeral Mass on Monday morning are asked to meet at the church.
