Terry Halty Kennemer passed away January 19, 2022 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous fight against cancer. Terry was raised in San Antonio by her parents Floyd Halty and Patricia Criswell. She and her brother, Scott Halty, shared an interest in genealogy and both had an extensive knowledge of their family history. After graduating from MacArthur High School in 1974, Terry started a family and focused on raising her three children. She married the love of her life, Bill Kennemer, in 1987. Terry began a career with United Airlines in 1988. During this time, she earned a degree in Human Resources from UTSA. She decided to continue her career with United Airlines, where she spent 30 years building lifelong friendships and sharing her passion for travel with everyone she encountered. Throughout the years, Terry spent time in the air and on the road traveling the country with family and friends. Via car, sailboat, mail boat, ferry, lobster boat, and plane, she met her goal of visiting every lighthouse in Maine. Her dream of visiting them all in one epic trip has been passed along to the next of us. Terry leaves behind her devoted husband Bill Kennemer; son Lance Eichholtz and his wife, Joni; daughter Kristin Eichholtz and her husband, Ted Phillips; daughter Ashley Moore; son-in-law Kirk Moore; brother Scott Halty; sister Janet Ouellette and her husband, Albert; as well as an extended circle of family and friends. Her grandchildren, Kirk III, Cole, Carter and Paige, were a true joy in her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. All of our lives are better because of her unending love, positivity, and light. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 at Lux Funeral Home in New Braunfels, with burial to follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in Spring Branch. In lieu of flowers, Terry requested donations to local blood banks in her memory. The family would like to thank Terry’s IVT and chemo nurses for their care, compassion, and support.

  2. I remember having fun gatherings at Terry and Bill’s home…always feeling welcome and grateful for them being a family to my son Ted. We enjoyed last years wedding of our children and know she will be missed, but leaving behind wonderful memories!

  3. We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

  4. I worked with Terry at United we had some great conversations about life and UT Football. Terry was one of the first of my coworkers to contact me when I was diagnosed with cancer and her words have stayed with me all of these years, when I heard about her cancer I made sure that I reached out to her and repaid her with those same words to her. RIP my friend until we see each other again

  5. It was my great honor to have had the opportunity to care for Terry as one of her infusion nurses. She brought so much light and beauty into my life and I looked forward to every day I got to see her and her amazing, supportive family members. 7. Terry…I’m unprepared. I didn’t realize our last hug would be at Kristin and Ted’s wedding. I would have hugged you longer. We were tied together through Kristin but I loved you beyond our friendship. You were a beautiful, bright light and I was in awe of your love for your kids, grandkids and Bill – it was shown in your actions and in your warm smile. I will forever miss you and love you. See you in the stars.

  8. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Love Sally, Cindy and Jackie

  9. Working with Terry was such a great honor I loved being able to talk with her about her trips to Maine it was comforting to me when I was home sick. After moving back to Boston when she would pass through she’d take time to see if I could stop and see her before leaving. It breaks my heart to hear of her passing my thoughts go out to her family as she was an amazing women.

  10. Three trees seemed perfect. One each for Lance, Kristin and Ashley – your moms three most perfect memorials. Love – the Williams/Miller family
