Richard Taylor, 56, of Canyon Lake, TX crossed over into Paradise at 1:58 p.m. on July 30, 2014. Richard was born in Abilene, TX on October 2, 1957 to Frank & Frances Taylor. Richard served our country by enlisting in the Air Force in 1977 as a Medical Laboratory Specialist / Research Toxicologist. After serving 6 years he continued in the field of Medicine as a civilian for many years. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Frances. He is survived by his wife of 26 wonderful years, Jannie Taylor, their 2 children Courtney & Lucas, grandson C.J., father Frank, brother Charlie, 3 nieces & a nephew. This "Gentle Giant" fought a rough battle with cancer. His family & friends are content in the knowledge that he is relaxing comfortably in Paradise and without pain. Richard loved music. He enjoyed listening to and supporting local musicians so much that, at his request, in lieu of a funeral he would like us to Celebrate his Life at Oma's Secret Garten in Gruene, TX The Celebration will take place Thursday 8/7/14 from 1 p.m. till 10 p.m. There will be live music highlighted by Richards favorite, Mothership Connection, his son Lucas' band.
