William Ebert, Jr.

william ebert, jr.
William (Bill) Richard Ebert Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday, the 4th day of December while in the presence of family. A graduate of New Braunfels High School, William joined the United States Air Force as an active duty service member and later would join the Texas Army National Guard where he would honorably retire as the rank of Sergeant. William was preceded in death by his Father William Sr. and his mother Erma. William was a loving father and grandfather who is survived by his son Gary Ebert(wife Amber), 4 grandchildren(Isaiah, Lyndsie, Kacie and Kylie), sister Carol Martin(husband James) and their extended family as well as numerous other relatives and friends. William was a simple man that enjoyed sharing Saturday nights out with his mother where they would frequent their favorite restaurant. They would then head over to dance the night away at The Bavarian Village German Dance Hall. He spent most of his free time enjoying classic television, westerns and was never too far away from a cup of black coffee. There was nothing William enjoyed more than being a grandfather. In his own words, they were what “kept him going”. One of his favorite past times was bringing his grandchildren to the store to grab their favorite snacks and they always knew Grandpa’s pantry had a box of their Cheez-It crackers waiting for them. William (Grandpa Bill) will be missed dearly, but with so many wonderful memories he shall forever remain in our hearts. Visitation for William will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a Service at 12:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Following with a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Houston Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force. Your attendance is welcomed and would be greatly appreciated.
