William Joseph "Joe" Himes, Jr.

William Joseph "Joe" Himes, Jr., a resident of Seguin, passed away on Thursday evening, October 19, 2017 at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 69. William, affectionately known as Joe, was born on December 8, 1947 in Ypsilanti, MI to William Joseph Himes, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Morris Himes. He later served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge from the US Navy, Joe spent many successful years employed as a machinist with General Motors. He was preceded in death by his father and by his in-laws, Morris and Ethel Adkins and Howard Henegar. Survivors include Joes loving wife of 53-years, Carolyn Himes; mother, Mary Elizabeth Himes; children, Renae Branham and husband, Anthony and Carolyn-Jo Tiszai and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Shane Branham and wife, Bobbi, Aaron-Anthony Branham, Shelby-Renae Branham and Moriah Tiszai; great-grandchildren, Mason Branham and Kamryn Branham. In addition, Joe is also survived by brothers, Warren and Dennis Himes. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Odom officiating. All services will end at 7:00 PM on Friday evening.
