Williard Vicente Vazquez-Figueroa Williard Vicente Vazquez-Figueroa of Converse, Texas 1950 – 2020 Obituary Williard “Willy” Vicente Vazquez-Figueroa passed away peacefully on October 10, 2020 at the age of 70 in New Braunfels, Texas surrounded by his wife and children. Willy is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Aura M Vazquez; his children, Janet Vazquez-Barrientos and husband, Felipe, Williard Jose Vazquez and wife, Cointa, Patricia Martinez and husband, Juan Pablo; grandchildren, Celeste Barrientos, Isabel Martinez, Gabriela Barrientos, Pablo Martinez, Olivia Vazquez, and Aaron Vazquez. He is also survived by his sisters, Marlene Vazquez de Luna, Sonia Castillo, and brother, Richard Vazquez; numerous nieces and nephews; loving family members and many friends. Willy was preceded in death by his parents, Jose E. Vazquez and Rosio Figueroa; sisters, Enith ”Lupita” Abad, Gladys Andino; brothers, Wilton Vazquez, George Vazquez, and Alfredo Vazquez. Willy was born in Loja, Ecuador in 1950. He lived most of his young life in Ecuador and served in the Ecuadorian military. He relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey in 1975 where he worked for Brevel Motors as a Machinist. Willy decided that he wanted his children to experience the culture back home and moved to Quito, Ecuador where they lived for 3 years. In 1989 Willy relocated the family to Del Rio, Texas where he worked as an entrepreneur. After all his children went to college, Willy and his wife moved to Converse, Texas where he resided for the remainder of his life. Willy had a passion for automobiles and electronics. He enjoyed the beach, music, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Willy had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. He had a kind heart, was strong in faith, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Papi, lo extrañaremos mucho y siempre vivira en nuestros corazones. Que Dios lo bendiga y lo tenga en su gloria.
