David “Kenny” Lux

President & Funeral Director in Charge

Kenny Lux, the Founder and President of Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, embarked on his journey in the funeral industry back in 1994 as an Embalmer and Funeral Director. With a strong conviction that this profession is his true calling, Kenny takes immense pride in being an independent small business owner in the face of a highly competitive industry. His extensive qualifications include a diploma in Mortuary Science, a Bachelor’s of Science in Business, and decades of invaluable experience. Outside of his professional pursuits, Kenny finds joy in his role as a loving husband to Misty and as the proud father of their 10 wonderful children.

Valerie Costello

Funeral Home Manager / Funeral Director & Embalmer

Valerie Costello has been a valued member of the Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC. team since 2011, serving as a proficient Manager, skilled Funeral Director, and meticulous Embalmer. Valerie takes immense pride in her ability to prepare departed loved ones for their final viewing, with a keen focus on dressing, applying cosmetics, and providing attentive care to ensure that families are left with a positive lasting image of their loved ones. In 2008, she graduated from Mortuary school with an Associate’s degree in Mortuary Science and has continued to refine her craft through careful observation and making changes as needed, with a particular expertise in cosmetics application and hair styling.

Corina Barron

Funeral Director & Embalmer/ Pre-Need Counselor/ Spanish Speaking

Corina Barron has been an esteemed member of the Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC. team since 2016, serving as a compassionate Funeral Director, skilled Embalmer, and dedicated Pre-Need Counselor. Her deep passion for her work stems from the profound opportunity it provides to support grieving families and guide them through the healing process with meaningful funerals. Corina thrives on engaging in heartfelt conversations with individuals, as it allows her to truly understand their needs and offer the utmost level of care. Building connections and providing the highest quality of service bring her immense joy and fulfillment.

Katie Bullock

Funeral Director

Katie Bullock, a dedicated Funeral Director at Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, finds great fulfillment in providing assistance to her community during times of need. Witnessing the unity and support that emerges within the community during moments of loss brings her immense joy. In 2013, Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Concordia University of Irvine, equipping her with a solid foundation to excel in her profession. Outside of her work, she cherishes precious moments with her loving husband and their three beautiful children.

Joe Castiglione

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Joe, a native of San Antonio, TX, has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 38 years. After he graduated from Seguin High School, he attended and graduated from Commonwealth School of Mortuary Science in Houston, TX. Joe has been involved in all aspects of the funeral business and has worked at several different funeral homes throughout the years. He enjoys meeting people and helping them out in their time of need. He currently lives in the San Antonio area and has been married for 33 years. Joe enjoys traveling, golfing, reading, bike riding and watching sports on TV.

Owen Lux

Funeral Service Assistant

Owen Lux joined Lux Funeral Home in 2019 as a Funeral Assistant, driven by his genuine desire to support those in need. The daily encounters with heartfelt stories not only inspire him but also reinforce his dedication to serving families in his community. Owen finds great joy in New Braunfels, with its picturesque river, delectable cuisine, and an overall sense of tranquility that permeates the town. During his free time, he enthusiastically trains in jiu jitsu and cherishes the company of his friends, further enriching his life. Owen Lux’s unwavering commitment to helping others and his diverse interests make him an invaluable asset to the Lux Funeral Home team.

LaVerne (Tudy) Evans

Administrative Assistant, Pre-Need Counselor

Tudy, a native of Texas, grew up in Big Foot, graduated from Devine High School and Hallmark College. She spent several years in banking, and has been in the funeral business for more than 10 years. In addition, Tudy is a licensed Pre-Need Counselor. Tudy has two children and numerous grandchildren. She has been with Lux Funeral Home since June of 2019.

Adriana Gonzales-Bueche

Funeral Service Assistant

Adriana, a native of New Braunfels, has been involved in the funeral business for 12 years. In addition, she has 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, assisting families with their prepaid, prearranged funeral plans. The funeral industry has provided Adriana with a wonderful opportunity to assist families in their time of need. She has a wonderful husband, three children, a step-son and numerous beautiful grandchildren. Adriana has been with Lux Funeral Home since 2011. In addition, Adriana also assists with evening Rosaries and visitations.

Pastor Rick Bartlett

Funeral Service Assistant

Rick, a native of Texas, is a semi-retired pastor, having served in full time ministry for over 45 years. He was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas and moved to New Braunfels in 1992. He has shared with literally hundreds of families in their times of loss and is proud to serve with the Lux family in caring for the tender needs of others.

Planning your loved one's funeral is never easy. We chose Lux funeral due to all the great reviews and I can honestly say they did not disappoint. From the first phone call we made soon after my mom's death they answered all our questions immediately and were very professional. Our coordinator was Corina and she was very professional, prompt to answer my phone calls or texts, and was so kind to us in person and informative. Our situation involved having my mom be flown from Texas to California. Corina was amazing at contacting out of state funeral home and keeping us appraised of all logistics. They made my mom look pretty and look as natural as possible. They surely exceeded our expectations. We also purchased the casket at their facility which arrived very quickly. I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone. God bless you all and thank you again for all your help during this very difficult time in our lives.

We recently lost our beloved son, Fire Specialist Chris Lafferre quite unexpectedly. I cannot begin to tell you what a beautiful job Lux funeral home did with handling everything for us. He was memorialized with both Austin Fire Department and Air Force honors. Valerie did such an incredible job working with these departments and coordinating everything alongside them and the celebration of his life was absolutely beautiful. Valerie guided us through the process with great thoughtfulness and compassion. We will be eternally grateful to her and the entire staff for guiding us through such a difficult time.

The hardest thing I have ever done. Planning a funeral for my 12 year old daughter. When asked by coroner which funeral home I would like for my daughter to be sent I had absolutely no idea. I had no knowledge of this type of business, why would I? Several names were brought up to me but did not help me in this decision. I cannot recall why but I chose Lux, praying so hard that I had made the right decision. I was sending my baby somewhere I knew nothing about. Once they opened that morning and I was able to see my daughter I knew my prayers were answered and all doubts thrown out. The staff was so patient, empathetic and reliable.
