Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services

  2. I was shocked and saddened to see that Dr. Kothmann had passed. He was a wonderful veterinarian, but more importantly, a kind and gentle human being. I will cherish the many memories I have of him over the years as he cared for many of my pets. My condolences to Theresa and Whitney and the rest of his family and friends who will feel a great loss at his passing. Know that Dr. Kothmann will be loved in our hearts for many, many years.

  3. Stunned and shocked are the words that come to mind when I was notified of Dr. Kothmann’s passing. He was a brilliant veterinarian, up to date with the most modern equipment and techniques to keep our fur babies with us. And most of all compassionate. I can only imagine the large gathering of all the furry critters he treated over the years, including our Elsie and Tigger, greeting him at Heaven’s gate. I’m sad for his family and staff at his untimely death. I guess God needed an awesome Vet….he’s got one. Jeff and Gerry Franklin, Wheatley and Leeloo

  4. Dr. Kothmann was my vet when I first moved to SA/Bulverde area about 18 years ago. He and his wife Theressa were so kind and caring when it came to animals. His family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. Robyn Rivers Horseshoe Bay, TX

  5. Dr Kothmann treated our beagles Sassy and Shoeshine for 12 years. Watching him interact with them showed how much he loved and understood animals. I will miss his smile and the chuckle he made when our dogs panicked during examinations. Dr. Kothmann was incredibly kind and patient with them and I enjoyed talking with him on a variety of topics. I hope his family will find peace in knowing how many people and animals he touched with his kindness.

  6. Dr. Kothmann was my first employer when I graduated from veterinary school. He helped me grow from a nervous and inexperienced new graduate to a confident veterinary practitioner. I will always be thankful for his guidance and mentorship! Sarah Ortiz

  7. Very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Kothmann. He was a kind man from my interactions with him at the vet.

  8. So sorry to hear of Kirk’s passing. I have such sweet memories of him as a classmate. My condolences to all the family.

  9. Very sad to hear of Dr. Kothmann’s passing. He was our first and only vet since we moved to the San Antonio area. His sound, no-nonsense guidance for caring for our dog Tiki was and is so much appreciated. Thank you Kirk, for all you did for the fur babies under your care. Our deepest sympathies go out to Kirk’s family.

  10. My condolences to the Kothmann family: Theresa. Whitney and Stephanie. He was a great man, husband, father and boss. May the Lord bring you comfort. Love always, Mily
