Theodore was a man of many qualities. He was the person anyone could count on. When he loved, he loved with everything he had. He devoted his life to being a true family man. Being Apa was his favorite thing. He made sure they knew how much they meant to him. He showed them love, support and led them to follow their dreams. He was a man of faith, and no matter the hand he was dealt in life he still found the light at the end of the tunnel. If you had the honor to meet him you know just how silly he could be. He would have you laughing till you cried. He always had a way of being the life of the party.

Theodore was a foreman for 13 years in the New Braunfels Parks and Recreation department. To have worked alongside him you know just how much of a hard worker he was. He had no issues lending a hand to anyone. Fisher Park will always be his favorite place. Hearing the joy the park brought to people always warmed his heart. We just want to express our gratitude to his guys for always being there for him. He carried a special place in his heart for you. Fisher was always his home.

In his 50 years of life he touched so many people’s hearts in some way or another. He leaves behind so many memories. Many silly family jokes we can laugh at. Tons of pictures for us to look back on. He has taught us many life lessons we will continue to pass on to our kids. He will be deeply missed. We find peace knowing he is no longer suffering and is reunited with his loved ones. His legacy will live on longer after us, he made sure to leave an everlasting impression behind.

  2. Theo, We forever regret never being able to meet you. Even though we never met you felt like family. Thank you for being our Madison’s Texas Dad. She truly loved you like family and you will always have a special in her heart. Thank you for watching over her for us.
Much Love, Tracy and Lisa Ostrander (Michigan)

  3. Awe Teddy❣️ You’re presence always brought joy and you have the most genuine soul. A true Gentleman and I love you and will see you again my dear sweet friend!

  4. Irma and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Teddy was such a special man: as a Head Start Parent, husband, father, grandfather, and the list goes on. Although I haven’t seen you in a while. I remember you with only good memories. May he rest in peace and those who loved him find comfort until the Lord unites you all once again.

  5. I have known Teddy since Kindergarten. He was a gem of a guy. Praying over the family in the weeks and months to come. May you find comfort in our gracious God and Savior who looks after the broken-hearted and gives peace through His Son, Jesus. ❤️

  6. My heart is sad to hear about Teddy passing.
I used to see him often when walking Fischer or Landa Park.
He was a kind and caring parent at Head Start.
Then later we were a Family of Friends. We did many Relay for Life walks. He was definitely like a Teddy bear!
Irma and family you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Our Dearest Teddy,

I can’t think of a time where you didn’t show us love. You had the kindest heart. You were always smiling and so full of joy. Dad and Mom are proud to be your godparents and will forever hold you close in their hearts. Say hi to your mom and Robert for us. You and the many memories we have will be forever be with us. God bless you.

    With lots of love always,
The Garza family – Dad Robert, Mom Mary Lou, David, Janina, Stephanie and Liz.

  8. I had the pleasure of working alongside Theo for the past 5 years. He always made my day by saying something silly and making me laugh. There was nothing better than getting a big hug from him and being told he was there for me. May he rest in peace and may his family find love and comfort during this time.

  9. My sincere condolences, I pray The Lord is with the family during this difficult time. I grew up with Teddy, we went to school and played football together. Teddy was a a great man with a wonderful soul.
