Alfredo G. Rosales, Sr., 58 of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in New Braunfels. Born on September 7, 1954 in New Braunfels, he was the son of the late Augustin and Victoria Rosales. In addition to his parents, Alfredo is predeceased by his siblings, Alicia Rosales and Robert Velez. Alfredo retired from the City of New Braunfels Sanitation Department after 25 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Alfredo is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Petra D. Rosales; his children, Alfredo(Jugo) Acevedo of New Braunfels, Raquel Castillo and her husband Jesse of Waco, Johnny, Vincent, Andrew Rosales and Alfredo Rosales, Jr. all of New Braunfels; ten grandchildren; sister, Maryann Cruz; brothers, Peter Rosales and his wife Ginger, Alex Rosales and Martin Rosales and his wife Mary, all of New Braunfels; sister-in-law Sostenes Velez of Fort Worth; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Wednesday. All wishing to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass on Wednesday are asked to meet at the church. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will be private. A reception will be held at the church immediately following Mass.
