Alfredo Rodriguez Hernandez, Sr. "Felo", a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016 at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 69. Alfredo was born on May 18, 1947 in New Braunfels to Manuel Hernandez and Margarita Rodriguez Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez was employed as a truck driver for more than 30-years. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Anthony Hernandez and by his brother, Jaime Hernandez. Survivors include his children, Alfredo Hernandez, Jr. (Lisa), Melissa A. Hernandez (Tomas Corona, Jr.), Juan Martinez (Mary), Herman Martinez (Enedina), Rachel Sosa (Cruz), Sandra Soto, Martin Martinez (Rita) and Nieves Martinez, Jr. (Alma); brothers, Domingo Hernandez, Sr. and Mario Hernandez; sister, Maria Chapa; grandchildren, Ashley, Mark, Alfred, III, Isaiah and Isaac Hernandez, Anthony and Raena Corona and 23 additional grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Maddie, Natalie and an additional 52 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. A gratitude of thanks to Axis providers Jennifer-LVN and Delbert-PT for their loving care they provided to "Felo". Also, special thanks to Pastor Jaime Guerrero from Everlasting Rock Church for his spiritual guidance throughout the entire process. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning, July 23, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM. The funeral procession will depart from the Lux Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM graveside service at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
