Allan Arlon Schneider

Allan A. Schneider, age 72, and a life-long resident of New Braunfels passed away Saturday evening, January 27, 2024, at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. Mr. Schneider was born on January 30, 1951, in New Braunfels to the late Erwin Schneider and Thelma Grobe Schneider. Before retiring after 10 years at New Braunfels High School as a custodian, Allan worked most of his life at the Textile Mill for 31 years as a dye machine operator. Allan was known for his funny sense of humor, green thumb, and love for the outdoors, including lots of fishing. You knew he liked you when he gave you a nickname. He enjoyed being a grandpa and watching football, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Thelma Schneider, and by two brothers, Ray Dean and Calvin Schneider. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Sylvia Schneider; children, Fernando Schneider (Priscilla), Eric Schneider (Christa), and Bryan Schneider (Chasity); grandchildren, Malachi, Luke, Ezra, Kezia, Gunner, Laramie, and Brynley; brother, Hylmar Schneider (Pam) and sister-in-law’s, Libby Schneider and Maricela Roque (Dago), and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Iglesia Bethel Church, 385 North Grape Ave. in New Braunfels.
