Angelita Mendoza

Angelita Mendoza, passed away in her home in New Braunfels, Texas on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 75. Angelita was born on June 12, 1948 in New Braunfels, Texas to Joe and Paula Gil.

Angelita is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Elena Torres, Dehlia Gil, and Rudy Gil.  She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Simon Mendoza, Sr.; children, Simon Mendoza, Jr. (wife, Judy, deceased), Jennifer Mendoza and Joseph Mendoza; grandchildren, Kayla Mendoza, Kendra Mendoza, Arabella Mendoza, Josiah Mendoza, Adrianna Zurita, Romeo Rodriguez, Brooklynn Brawley and Gabriel Mendoza; great-grandchildren, Autumn Rae Smith, Aveah Jhene Rodriguez and Sebastian Jude Meza, and siblings, Florida Franco (Refugio), Louis Gil, and Joe Gil (Beatrice). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. For well over 30 years she worked at New Braunfels Mission Valley Mills where she made many friends. She later decided to stay home to spend more time with her grandchildren. She would spend her weekday mornings watching The Price Is Right which then led to her afternoon to watching her Soap Operas. Angie was one of a kind and true blessing to each and everyone she met. The memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Lux Funeral Home Chapel.
